Yes. And whilst many Staff Heroes jobs offer a huge variety of flexible shift patterns, few are as varied as parcel sorting. Because London is home to many major distribution centres which operate 24/7, you should be able to find hours to suit virtually any shift pattern you want.
Our clients are looking for parcel sorters to work across a wide range of distribution centres. Centres are based around London and many are to be found near major motorways. If you want to make the most of the opportunities and want to work ‘unconventional’ shifts, you might need our own transport, as public transport to some locations at night may be unavailable. If you don’t have your own vehicle, you should still be able to choose from a slightly smaller pool of opportunities closer to home and/or in daylight hours.
The details of the job will vary from employer to employer but typically the duties of a mail sorter may include scanning, loading and unloading mail from vans, checking for damage, categorising parcels, and some general maintenance and cleaning duties to keep the workspace clear of hazards.
