Although the specific sous chef role may change from kitchen to kitchen, you can assume there will be a significant kitchen management requirement with all our sous chef opportunities, so you’ll need lots of confidence and authority, and know how to get the best from your team.
Share your knowledge: Even in a temporary role, a strong sous chef should be able and willing to help develop the more junior members of the team. You won’t have to wait to be asked to offer advice, encouragement and inspiration.
Only passionate sous chefs required: Being a temporary sous chef is a challenge, but it is also a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad range of kitchens, cuisines and brigades.
